To be or not to be, the salient question in the ECOFIN
The first session held in ECOFIN of the UNGA did not bring clarity on whether the members of the council gathered to conduct formal session or a simple workshop. From explaining the rules of the procedure, to the first mock debate and attempt of having the earliest unmoderated caucus in the history of MUNs, the delegates started practicing their skills and testing their possible alliances! Session began with the discussion on the topic of “Veganism and why to be or not to be a vegan” and how cultural and traditional differences impact one’s decision to become a vegan.
In the end, delegation of the Netherlands took responsibility and opened the official debate on the topic “Rethinking the global war on drugs”. Expectations are high and salient questions are about to be tackled. Stay tuned!
