Official statement of the delegation of the Republic of Colombia to the UNGA Economic and Financial Affairs Council, on July 11th, 2018:
The delegation of Colombia is extremely pleased to see such an impressive ability of the delegations present in the council to define the problem and address it precisely and comprehensively.
The resolution currently being discussed in the committee proves readiness and willingness of the member States to find a suitable solution for a pressing issue of drugs misuse.
Columbia’s interests lay in finalization of the ‘war on drugs’ and we are confident that we are one step closer to our goal.
