United Nations dark side revealed
United Nations Security Council received confirmation of speculated secret meeting being held in the Ljubljana HQ, unveiling hidden aspects of the organisation, apparently not immune to the corruption and prevailing private interests.
Shockingly, not only the Kuwaiti representative was involved in the secret deal with the British. Video footage of the corruption crisis shows the Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations shaking hands, common gesture for the ‘agreement reached’.
This is unprecedented situation of highest officials of the United Nations being involved in the corruption scandal, while its main organ, one with the highest authorities, is discussing the very core of the organisation’s future.
Followed by an extremely strong reactions of the Council’s members, some even advocating for the termination of the mandate of the officials mentioned, the Nations will have to work on returning their trust in the community and the organisation itself, before the inevitable alienation begins to happen, as it was already seen from the dramatic address of the South Sudanese delegation to the Security Council, stating UN peacekeepers will leave the country, "either alive or in bodybags".
