Joint statement following the Foreign Affairs Council meeting Ljubljana, 12 July 2018
Joint statement of the following nations: The Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of Poland, The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Republic of Italy, Hungary, Sweden
The representatives of the aforementioned Member States express their frustration with the unpunctuality of the presiding officers of the Council of the European Union,
Their actions have resulted in significant delays in the discussion, which consequently led to the delay of lunch time, which made certain delegates very hungry and angry i.e hangry,
With that in mind, we call for a joint and firm reaction towards the presiding officer and suggest punishing the chairs in an appropriate manner.
The punishment should be equal to or bigger than the punishments that the presiding officers imposed to the delegates. We believe that such disciplinary actions are necessary, keeping in mind the consequences of the presiding officers’ behavior.
