Explosion in Iran, diplomatic war and Chinese translation
The second day of simulation in the UN SC of Salient Conference 2019 started at 9.00, this time also with the delegation of Iran present. As expected, this provoked a heated debate in UN SC. Still, there were no new solutions of the conflict on the horizon even though that the first unmoderated caucus was dedicated to negotiations! Soon BBC news shared the news about the explosion in the Iranian utility Isfahan Nuclear Technology Centre and there was a possible new diplomatic war on the horizon between the Russian Federation and the USA. The delegation of Iran changed their statements about the international investigation connected with the explosion a few times due to the suspicions that the USA, Saudi Arabia and Israel were involved in aforementioned tragedy in Iran. The delegates were eager to discuss this crisis. There was not a common solution, probably because of the divided statements the delegates had about international interference and investigation on Iranian territory.
